So I've been busy with school but in a community module my group hosted an online escape room event last week, and one of the three escape rooms our group presented was created by me!
It's a virtual escape room which uses Google Forms as its platform. I found it quite interesting as I did not know of this possibility until a few months ago. Basically it uses required answers and answer validation to form the locks, and 'go to section based on answer' to help the player navigate the room and explore preset areas.
Anyway, here's the link to the room: Online Escape Room - Victorian House
The expected playtime of the escape room is two hours, and a computer is recommended for playing the room instead of a mobile phone. More information is included in the escape room itself.
the escape room was created 100% by me so if you have any problems or feedback or suggestions just direct them straight to me. There is also a feedback portal at the end of the google forms. (i feel a compelling need to complain about my teammates who refused to playtest for me but i sincerely believe the room was at least decently designed)
......
uhh...this is technically game related so i feel like it deserves a post on my blog, and also it helps distract my handful of viewers from the fact that i haven't worked on video game stuff for like basically a year xd.
thanks and see you soon
